Otomate's New Title "CRAZY CHA!N -Elpis no Kusari-" Now Available for Nintendo Switch

Otomate, the female-oriented game brand of Idea Factory Co., Ltd., released the Nintendo Switch™ title CRAZY CHA!N -Elpis no Kusari- on July 9, 2026 (Thursday).

The official site is currently featuring countdown illustrations and countdown voice clips. The voice clips can only be heard for one week after launch, so fans are encouraged to check them out while they're available.

About CRAZY CHA!N -Elpis no Kusari-

She falls in love to quit being a saint.

And yet — she intends to win both love and the salvation of her country.

The story is set in a world where the Hundred Years' War never ended, instead stretching on for a thousand years.

The heroine, the 17th Joan of Arc, has only one wish: to quit being a saint.

Having learned that achieving her country's salvation or falling in love will cost her the saint's qualification, she throws herself into both — racing across the battlefield while pursuing romance with the man she loves.

The men around her wrestle with the conflict of being forbidden to fall for her for the sake of the country's salvation, but the headstrong saint pays that no mind.

Readers can look forward to the push and pull between a heroine who wants to fall in love and the men who aren't supposed to fall for her.

Staff who previously worked on the Virche Evermore series have reunited to bring this story of a headstrong saint's fight for both her country's salvation and love.

Story

Long ago, a war began between two nations in Europe. Fueled by advancing mysticism and technology, the fighting has continued ever since, with nearly a thousand years now passed.

The year is 2400 CE. The legacy of Joan of Arc, the saint who once saved her country, has become a hollow formality as it has been handed down from generation to generation.

Born in the countryside under the Saint's Protection, the 17th Joan of Arc has only one wish — she wants to quit being a saint.

She learns the truth: leading her country to salvation, or falling in love, will cost the saint her power.

"That's it. If I search for the conditions for saving the country while falling in love, I can finally quit being a saint."

Bound by chains of restraint, the headstrong saint takes up her lance and races across the battlefield to free herself from her role.

This love cannot be bound as easily as chains.

Formed on May 23, 2018, HAGANE is a four-member melodic speed metal band made up of vocalist Nagi, guitarist Sakura, bassist Sayaka, and drummer JUNNA.
