Hakata Station in Fukuoka is set to be filled with roses and heartfelt messages in early June. In collaboration with the Fukuoka Prefectural Floriculture Agricultural Cooperative, JR Kyushu's Hakata Station will host a "Rose Day" event as a way to express gratitude to its daily passengers.
Free Rose Distribution at the Central Ticket Gate
On June 2 (Tuesday), the Hakata Station master will hand out single roses in front of the central ticket gate during two sessions.

- Contents: A single rose grown in Fukuoka Prefecture, placed in a special Rose Day sleeve, will be distributed free of charge to the first 500 visitors per session (while supplies last)

Rose Object Installed at the Central Ticket Gate
A decorative rose display will be set up in front of the central ticket gate from June 1 to 4.

Giant Heart Message Board
A large heart-shaped message board will also be placed in front of the central ticket gate during the same period. Visitors are invited to write a message to someone special on a card and attach it to the board.

Staff Wearing Flower Buttonholes
On June 2 (Tuesday), Hakata Station staff involved in the event will tuck a single rose into their breast pockets to welcome passengers throughout the day.
