SAMANSA Halloween Night Brings Short Films and NOMU Shibuya Drinks to Shibuya on October 28

SAMANSA Halloween Night, a one-night Halloween event by the short film streaming service SAMANSA, will be held in Shibuya on Wednesday, October 28, 2026. The theme is "scary, but somehow endearing."

SAMANSA staff have selected three short films that suit Halloween, and the roughly 40-minute screening program goes beyond simple scares to present film worlds that tug at the heart. The event also features limited-edition drinks made in collaboration with NOMU Shibuya, original SAMANSA merchandise, and a space where film fans can chat with one another, so the evening continues after the credits roll.

The event is split into four sessions, each limited to 15 guests. SAMANSA members and non-members alike can take part, and guests are welcome to come with a small costume touch.

Highlights

Three Short Films for a "Scary, but Somehow Endearing" Halloween

The screening features three films that SAMANSA staff chose for Halloween night. Following the theme "scary, but somehow endearing," the lineup offers distinctive short-film stories that are more than just frightening.

The films pack their stories into a short running time, with unexpected twists and an afterglow that stays with viewers once they finish. Short films usually watched on smartphones and similar devices can be enjoyed here in a special setting available only that night, alongside other film fans.

Limited Halloween Drinks With NOMU Shibuya

NOMU Shibuya opened in Shibuya in March 2026. Built around the concept of "entertainment in a drink," the cafe uses in-house developed drink machines to offer more than one million ways to customize a beverage. Its store design is based on bright orange, and its playful atmosphere blends art and culture.

For this event, NOMU Shibuya and SAMANSA have created limited Halloween drinks, available to enjoy with the short films on the night.

Every participant also receives an admission ticket with an exclusive NOMU Shibuya coupon (digital). It offers a chance to try NOMU Shibuya's drink experience beyond the day of the event.

A Space to Chat About the Films and Browse Merchandise

The venue includes an area where guests can browse original SAMANSA merchandise, as well as a space where participants can talk with one another.

Sharing impressions of a favorite scene or an unexpected twist right after the screening is part of the fun of this event. Guests can immerse themselves in the films on their own, or talk them over with friends and fellow film lovers, and spend the time after the screening however they like.

Guests are welcome to join with a small costume touch and enjoy Halloween night in a slightly different look.
