Shimoda Aquarium, an interactive aquarium located in Shimoda City, Shizuoka Prefecture, is bringing back its annual Halloween costume diver for the Discovery Ocean fish feeding show, running from Saturday, September 26 through Saturday, October 31, 2026.
Halloween Costume Diver
During the Halloween season, Shimoda Aquarium once again holds its long-running tradition of a costume diver appearing in the fish feeding show.
A costumed diver appears in the Discovery Ocean fish feeding show and, instead of candy, hands out krill and fish fillets to the fish in the large tank. This year, the diver trades the usual pumpkin costume for a "wizard" look, using a magic wand to feed the fish.
After the Discovery Ocean show ends, visitors can also take commemorative photos with the diver free of charge.
*The costume is subject to change without notice.
Period: September 26 (Sat) to October 31 (Sat), 2026
Time: 10:35 AM onward
*On October 31 only, two sessions will be held: 10:35 AM and 2:35 PM
Location: Aqua Dome Perry Large Tank
