The World of Shirow Masamune Exhibition Heads to Nagoya — Tickets on Sale from June 12

The World of Shirow Masamune Exhibition — Ghost in the Shell and the Trail of Creation — which has drawn a combined audience of over 65,000 visitors in Tokyo and Osaka, is making its Tokai region debut at Matsuzakaya Nagoya Store from August 2 (Sun) to August 16 (Sun), 2026.

Ticket sales via e+ start on June 12 (Fri) at 10:00 AM. The goods-included admission ticket features a "light purple" special tote bag exclusive to the Nagoya venue.

Nagoya-Exclusive New Merchandise

Three new original items are being introduced exclusively at the Nagoya venue: two T-shirt designs and one poster.

T-shirt / Black — Ghost in the Shell G (Fuchikoma) — Planned price: ¥5,500 (tax included)

T-shirt / White — Ghost in the Shell B (Puppet Master) — Planned price: ¥5,500 (tax included)

Poster — Ghost in the Shell Motoko & Fuchikoma — Planned price: ¥1,100 (tax included)

Admission

  • General: ¥1,500 (tax included)
  • Goods-included admission ticket: ¥4,000 (tax included)

Admission is free for preschool children. Standard discounts do not apply.

Goods-Included Ticket Bonus

Exhibition Original Special Tote Bag — Size: approx. 42cm (H) × 37cm (W) (excluding handles). Available throughout the exhibition period, while supplies last.

Entry Bonus

All ticket holders will receive a Shirow Masamune illustration mini card (rotating daily, 7 designs in total) upon entry. One card per visitor.

During the exhibition, on-site and e+ same-day tickets are also available (except August 2 (Sun) from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM).

Timed-Entry Tickets

On the opening day, August 2 (Sun), from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, entry is by timed ticket only. Available time slots:

  • 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM
  • 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM
  • 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM
  • 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM
  • 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM
  • 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM
  • 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM
  • 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM

Timed tickets are valid only for the purchased time slot. Time slots that sell out before the exhibition opens will not be available at the venue; any remaining slots will be sold through e+ only.

Open-Period Tickets

Open-period tickets allow entry at any time outside the timed-entry window during the exhibition period. During busy periods, crowd control measures including queue management may be implemented.

New TV Animation: Ghost in the Shell THE GHOST IN THE SHELL

A new TV animation series, Ghost in the Shell THE GHOST IN THE SHELL, is scheduled to premiere on Kantele / Fuji TV network nationwide on July 7, 2026 (Tue), airing every Tuesday at 11:00 PM in the "Ka-Anibaru!!" slot.

About Shirow Masamune

Born in Hyogo Prefecture, Shirow Masamune is a manga artist and illustrator who began working in the manga and illustration field in 1980 and made his commercial debut in 1985 with Appleseed. In 1989, he began serializing his signature work, Ghost in the Shell. He also co-directed the animated film Black Magic M-66. His work spans a wide range of creative fields, including games and art books.
