An art event combining Peanuts comics with nature and environmental art, "SNOOPY ARTURAL" (スヌーピー アーチュラル), will begin touring major cities across Japan in April 2027. It will be presented in two forms: an exhibition that opens at Nihonbashi Takashimaya (日本橋髙島屋) in Tokyo, and field art that uses natural settings such as parks and rural fields as its canvas. The event was announced jointly by The Yomiuri Shimbun Tokyo Headquarters and Sony Creative Products Inc., the agent for Peanuts in Japan.

About the Event
2027 marks 77 years since the Peanuts comic strip began serialization. Through the everyday lives of Snoopy and the other lovable characters, creator Charles M. Schulz has spoken of the importance of a gentle world where nature and people live together.
The event focuses not only on the charm of the characters but also on the nature that surrounds them. Drawing on the world of Peanuts, it creates a warm yet large-scale art space where visitors can feel the importance of nature and of coexistence with it.
Art supervision is by Yoshiteru Otani (大谷芳照), an internationally active artist who took part in the planning of the Charles M. Schulz Museum in the US and whose own work is permanently displayed there.
Two Stages for the World of Peanuts
SNOOPY ARTURAL Exhibition
Held at department stores and commercial facilities, the exhibition expresses the beautiful nature and heartwarming episodes depicted in the comics through a variety of art techniques. Projection mapping using the latest technology will be shown together with art pieces created through collaborations between Snoopy and warm natural materials and crafts. Original goods available only at the exhibition will also be on sale.
The tour starts at Nihonbashi Takashimaya (April 28 to May 10, 2027) and then continues to major cities across Japan.
SNOOPY ARTURAL Field Art
Real natural environments such as plazas, parks, farms, and rural fields are turned into exhibition spaces. The open-air art blends the changing seasons and the breath of nature with the world of Peanuts, using the land itself as a canvas.
Details to Come
Details on venues, schedules, works on display, tickets, and event-exclusive goods will be announced in stages on the official website (scheduled to open in February 2027) and on social media accounts.
