Sega has announced that the release date for the large-scale expansion "S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Cost of Hope," for GSC Game World's S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, has been set for Thursday, August 20, 2026.
"S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Cost of Hope" is a large-scale piece of downloadable content packed with dozens of hours of gameplay. Two new regions will be added, each with its own hub, quests, and activities. The story depicts a faint ray of hope breaking through an atmosphere of heavy collapse.
A newly released story trailer, the "Reveal Trailer," introduces various scenes from the expansion, including the mutants that inhabit the area and glimpses of its fields.
