The Sunshine City Prince Hotel in Higashi-Ikebukuro, Toshima, Tokyo, is holding a Hawaiian-themed event from Wednesday, July 1 through Monday, August 31, 2026—a total of 62 days. The event centers on Hawaiian menus at the hotel's restaurants, with Hawaiian music playing as BGM, seasonal decorations around the building, and staff welcoming guests in aloha shirts.
Café & Dining Chef's Palette: Hawaiian Menu
For this event, Café & Dining Chef's Palette has collaborated with Nagasaki-born creator and author Kado Hidehiko on a specially commissioned original illustration. Guests who order a Hawaiian set menu will receive a limited hotel-original clear file featuring this artwork.
Kado is a CODA (Child of Deaf Adults) who began drawing from childhood to express what speech and sign language alone could not convey. His works are characterized by the incorporation of sign language, expressed through his concept "HAND TALK / Smile Talking Hands." He has also created an artwork on the B1 floor of the hotel.
The design theme for this collaboration is "Ole Ua, Ole Anuenue" (No Rain, No Rainbow)—a Hawaiian saying that happiness follows hardship, inspired by the rainbows that frequently appear after rain in Hawaii.
The Hawaiian menu at Chef's Palette features 16 items in total:

- À la Carte Menu (5 items): Dishes such as lomi lomi salmon and garlic shrimp, from ¥1,400

Restaurant Bayern: Hawaiian Buffet
Restaurant Bayern is offering Hawaiian buffet menus for both lunch and dinner, each with over 30 dishes. Performance corners allow guests to watch chefs prepare dishes fresh on the spot, including the recommended "Kalua Pork Tacos" (lunch only) and "Pork Spare Ribs Teppanyaki with Banana Bacon" (dinner only).
Other highlights include coconut milk cold tantanmen noodles (lunch and dinner), seafood poke bowl (dinner only), salad soba (lunch and dinner), and Chinese and Japanese-style dishes with a Hawaiian twist. Hawaiian-themed alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks (5 types, charged separately) are also available.
