Sunshine City Prince Hotel (3-1-5 Higashi-Ikebukuro, Toshima-ku, Tokyo) will host a collaboration event with The National Gallery, London, themed around an immersive "Stay-in Museum" where guests can experience Claude Monet's Impressionist world. The event runs from November 1 (Sun), 2026 to March 31 (Wed), 2027.
Working together since 2023, the hotel has offered a series of masterpiece-themed stays under the "Stay-in Museum" name. This fourth installment marks the 100th anniversary of Claude Monet's death. The hotel recreates the house in Giverny, France, where Monet spent his later years, as a concept room. Beyond the room, the stay includes bed coordination surrounded by masterpieces and an original parfait inspired by a garden, so the whole hotel takes on Monet's artistic world.
Drawing on the character of Toshima Ward, which promotes itself as an international art and culture city, the hotel regularly holds collaboration events with anime, games, art, and more, offering new ways to enjoy a hotel stay.
Event Highlights
- Concept room inspired by the house where Monet spent his later years: The colors and atmosphere of the residence are recreated inside the guest room. One wall displays six of Monet's representative works in chronological order, tracing the painter's career.
- Immersive beds surrounded by masterpieces: Bed sheets are themed on "Water-Lilies, Setting Sun" and "Irises," and cushions shaped like lotus flowers and leaves are placed on the beds, creating the feeling of sleeping afloat in one of Monet's paintings.
- Original parfait "Le Jardin de Monet," inspired by the garden Monet loved: An art and sweets collaboration that is also open to guests who are not staying at the hotel.
- Original amenities exclusively for hotel guests: Amenities include a compact mirror, a cotton tote bag, and a Chara Fine hotel card key holder.
- Art experience throughout the hotel: During the event period, reproductions of masterpieces from The National Gallery, London's collection are displayed in the lobby, so guests can view famous paintings inside the hotel.

Art Displays Around the Hotel
In addition to enjoying the world of the artworks in the guest rooms, the hotel lobby features a display corner of reproductions of paintings depicting flowers, themed around a "flower path," as well as a photo spot recreating "The Water-Lily Pond" at about three times its original size.
