NetEase Games and ZhuRong Studio, the creators of the open-world MMORPG Sword of Justice, have announced the release of the "New Year Version" update starting January 1, 2026.
This update introduces a wide range of new features, including New Year login events, the opening of a massive new map, new characters and storylines, large-scale PvP focused on fairness, UI improvements, and enhanced beginner support.
Massive New Map "Senju-hara" Implemented! Experience an Expanding World Full of Life!
The new map "Senju-hara" has been added. This vast field spans multiple areas, including a flower sea covered with dandelions, a valley wrapped in mystical purple mist, and forested regions with clear waters and misty forests. Additionally, the ecosystem exploration system allows players to converse with animals, interact with divine trees, and even communicate with stones, creating an experience where the world itself feels alive.
Furthermore, new companions will appear on this map. This mysterious girl with a somewhat familiar atmosphere is actually an unidentified sect master, mysteriously connected to the animals living in Senju-hara. Players will meet her through the story quest "Strange Encounter in Senju."
Diverse New Content Including 60-Player Survival PvP and Hide-and-Seek!
This update adds diverse new content, including not only battles but also social interaction and cooperative play. The leisure content "Cat and Mouse Battle" allows players to transform into objects such as grass, flowers, stones, or animal forms, providing a unique social experience for enjoying with friends.
Additionally, the high-difficulty cooperative content "Wuyang Decisive Battle: Inner Castle" has been added, where players work together and strategize to tackle challenging battles that test teamwork. Furthermore, the new dungeon "Sect Trial: Green Blood Ringing in the Sand" presents hardcore battles against powerful enemies.
Moreover, the large-scale PvP content "Senju Champion" emphasizing fairness has been implemented. In this battle royale with up to 60 simultaneous participants, players compete under rules that minimize equipment disparities, where judgment and skill to survive until the end are put to the test.
UI Improvements & Enhanced Beginner Support / Login Campaign
This update significantly improves operability and visibility by enhancing multiple UI elements based on player feedback received so far. By reorganizing screen layout and information display, access to various functions has become more intuitive, providing a comfortable play experience.
Additionally, a new "Beginner's Classroom" feature has been implemented so that even those new to the game can start their adventure with confidence. The design allows players unfamiliar with the game to learn basic operations and systems step by step, enabling smooth progression.
Furthermore, to commemorate the release of the New Year version, a login campaign is being held where players can obtain valuable items useful for development and adventure simply by logging in during the campaign period. The content is designed to allow both new players and returning players to start the game smoothly.
The operations team will continue to make improvements that are easier to play for experienced players and more understandable for beginners, with consideration for a wide range of player demographics.
