A new viewing room dedicated to contemporary artist Yuichi Hirako, titled "THE HIRAKO HOUSE TOKYO," is opening on the 3rd floor of TERRADA ART COMPLEX Ⅱ in Tennozu, Tokyo, on Thursday, March 12, 2026.
TERRADA ART COMPLEX is one of Japan's largest gallery complexes. In addition to galleries active both domestically and internationally, the complex features artist rental studios ("TERRADA ART STUDIO"), a bonded gallery space ("BONDED GALLERY"), and cafes and bars that serve as gathering spots for art lovers visiting Tennozu.
THE HIRAKO HOUSE TOKYO is a viewing room created by contemporary artist Yuichi Hirako himself, allowing visitors to experience his distinctive world more intimately. The space focuses on large-scale works that were previously only viewable in museums or galleries.
A fully original pinball machine, newly produced for this space, is also installed. Players who take on the challenge can win original figurines, including a "new color" that will make its debut here. Which color appears is part of the fun. The playful new pinball machine can be enjoyed alongside the art viewing experience.
For the opening, "Wooden Wood 74" — making its first showing in Tokyo — will be on special display. Works will be rotated periodically, allowing visitors to experience Yuichi Hirako's ongoing creative output.

To mark the opening, limited-edition original merchandise exclusive to THE HIRAKO HOUSE TOKYO will be available for purchase. Select popular Yuichi Hirako goods from the online shop will also be stocked, so visitors can pick them up and browse in person.

About TERRADA ART COMPLEX
TERRADA ART COMPLEX I opened in 2016 and TERRADA ART COMPLEX Ⅱ opened in 2020, both with the goal of establishing Tennozu as a hub of arts and culture. A large number of Japan's leading art galleries are based here, making it one of the largest gallery complexes in Japan. Artist studios are also available for artists who need a space to create. Between the two buildings lies a garden area, and cafes and bars overlooking the courtyard provide a relaxing space for art enthusiasts.
