The sake "Kin no Hiroshi" and "Gin no Hiroshi" along with related goods are now available for general sale starting December 25, 2025, at Gonda Brewery's online shop (https://www.sake-japanese.shop/) and merchandise items alone at the EC site Cocoani (https://cocoani.jp/).
The anime "The Style of Hiroshi Nohara's Lunch" is an official spin-off of the hugely popular character manga "Crayon Shin-chan," focusing on father Hiroshi Nohara's (age 35) brief respite - his lunch break. The series depicts his dedication to carefully selecting lunch within limited pocket money and time, showcasing the rarely-seen "working man Hiroshi Nohara" during lunchtime, his chosen meals, and the "style" he cherishes while portraying everyday relatable moments.
The sake was developed to embody the world of "The Style of Hiroshi Nohara's Lunch," imagined as something modern Japan's "samurai" - corporate warriors (salarymen) - can enjoy deliciously during evening drinks and casually savor with a lunch-break spirit, bringing smiles to their faces.
The sake combines the narrative of being nurtured in Kumagaya, the same Saitama region as Kasukabe where "The Style of Hiroshi Nohara's Lunch" is set, with the reliable craftsmanship of Gonda Brewery Co., Ltd., established in the Kaei era. The aim was to create a taste worthy of hardworking adults' drinking moments.
"Kin no Hiroshi" features a robust rice umami and pleasant dry finish with backbone, while "Gin no Hiroshi" is a refreshing lime juice-infused sake that gently soothes the day's fatigue.
