Tokyo Bay Maihama Hotel First Resort (1-6 Maihama, Urayasu, Chiba Prefecture), an official hotel of Tokyo Disney Resort, is decorating guest rooms for Halloween and offering two limited-edition sweets, so guests can bring the Halloween mood into their stay itself.
The neighboring theme park is also holding its own Halloween events during this period, making it easy to keep the Halloween spirit going throughout the whole trip.
A "Spooky Fantasy" Halloween Room
The hotel's rooms, designed around a "castle salon" interior, are getting a Halloween makeover for the "Halloween Spooky Night Stay" plan. Halloween has become a fixture on the seasonal calendar, and its bright, family-friendly image is increasingly expanding into something adults can enjoy too. Building on that shift, the hotel named its decoration theme "Spooky Fantasy," pairing an eerie, spooky atmosphere with a sense of playful fantasy and imagination.
A witch's cape and hat are also set up in the room, so guests can dress the part for photos that match the decor.
Prologue
The room decor is built around a short Halloween story: an otherwise calm, elegant castle is settling into the Halloween season. Step inside expecting a graceful stay, and as bright afternoon turns to dusk, the room reveals itself as a haunted room within the castle. Cobwebs stretch across the windows and picture frames, as if the space had gone untouched for a while, and the town below the castle starts to take on an eerie air of its own. The jack-o'-lanterns that would normally light the way after dark seem to be under a spell and ready for mischief, shifting from their usual cheerful orange into shapes that blend into the darkness, while the ghosts gathering for a night party look like they have some tricks of their own in mind.

Curly Jack — ¥3,780
A crisp tart shell topped with custard cream, wrapped in whipped cream, and finished with piped pumpkin cream. About 14 cm across. Sold by reservation only at the Atelier, at least 7 days in advance.
Cutie Ghost — ¥700
A rare cheesecake with a layer of blueberry jelly tucked inside, wrapped in a light coating of gyuhi, a soft, mochi-like confection.
