Hobby Search (operated by Hobby Search Co., Ltd., Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo) has opened pre-orders for threezero's new MDLX figure line marking the 40th anniversary of The Transformers: The Movie's theatrical release.
MDLX 40th Anniversary Line: The Transformers: The Movie
To celebrate the 40th anniversary of The Transformers: The Movie, the MDLX line adds fully poseable figures finished in colors inspired by the film's animation. The first release covers three figures: Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, and Megatron.
The MDLX Transformers figures are based on the original 1980s TV anime series, with design adjustments handled by threezero art director Kelvin Sau. Each figure comes with a card featuring original artwork by Nobuyoshi Habara, who worked on key animation and illustration for the TV series.

MDLX Optimus Prime (The Transformers: The Movie 40th Anniversary Ver.)
A fully poseable figure (non-transforming) standing approximately 17.8cm tall. A die-cast zinc alloy and engineering plastic frame system delivers approximately 48 points of articulation and high durability.
Compared to the standard MDLX Optimus Prime already released overseas, this 40th Anniversary Ver. features a newly sculpted head, and the backpack has been repainted red to match its appearance in the film.
Included accessories: one ion blaster, one energon axe, one Autobot Matrix of Leadership, and six pairs of interchangeable wrist parts.
