TEA LOUNGE MAYFAIR on the second floor of the Westin Miyako Hotel Kyoto will offer a special summer afternoon tea from July 1 through August 31, 2026, centered on two iconic summer fruits: domestic peach and tropical mango.
The soft pink of ripe peach and the vivid golden hue of mango create a striking color contrast across the tiers, giving the spread a distinctly summery visual appeal. The menu features seven sweets that highlight the juicy sweetness of peach and the rich, lingering flavor of mango, plus a separate Peach Melba made with half a whole fresh peach.

Upper Tier

The upper tier opens with a Peach and Raspberry Glass Dessert: cubed peach mousse and raspberry jelly wrapped in a peach gelée, offering a smooth mousse texture alongside a soft, quivering jelly that provides a refreshing counterpoint to summer heat. The Mango Choux is filled generously with mango flesh and fresh cream, topped with a rich mango cream and finished with a crisp meringue accent. The Peach and Berry Mousse layers gentle peach mousse with a hemispherical mousse carrying subtle berry acidity and a hint of tea fragrance, the two elements quietly melding on the palate. The Mango Dacquoise Sandwich presses an abundant amount of intense mango cream between crisp-outside, soft-inside dacquoise layers, delivering a powerfully sweet and aromatic bite. Rounding out the tier is the Peach Chiboust: peach flesh and a light mousse set atop an almond cream tart and finished with a thin peach gelée for an elegant, softly flavored result.
Middle Tier

The Peach Shortcake is kept intentionally simple, letting the straightforward sweetness of the peach shine alongside cream subtly infused with peach fragrance. The Mango Pudding is a three-layer construction of coconut mousse, mango pudding, and orange mango gelée; the tropical pairing of mango and coconut finishes with a refreshing gelée that leaves a clean aftertaste. Scones come in two varieties — plain and peach — to be enjoyed with clotted cream and house-made mango jam.
Lower Tier (Savories)

The savory course begins with a Mango and Summer Vegetable Quiche, baking together tomato, eggplant, and mango with cheese for a full-flavored result. The Peach Gazpacho is a chilled soup combining peach and tomato, with prosciutto providing a pleasantly salty accent. A Pickle and Tomato Sandwich follows, the pickle's acidity refreshing the palate. The Summer Vegetable Jelly is a delicate creation — a vegetable consommé scattered with paprika and wrapped in zucchini — bringing a light, airy quality to round out the savory selection.
Peach Melba (Separate Plate)

The Peach Melba is a lavish parfait built around half a whole fresh peach. Peach cream is piped onto a crunchy cookie base, then layered with vanilla ice cream, fresh peach slices, and berry sauce. The contrast between the crunchy base and the creamy ice cream, along with the flavor shift brought by the berry sauce, keeps each spoonful engaging right to the end.
