Yachiho Kogen Ski Resort in Sakuho Town, Nagano Prefecture, has started selling early bird tickets for the 2026-27 season. Located in the North Yatsugatake area of Shinshu at an elevation of 1,830 m, the resort opens on Monday, November 30, 2026, and sales began on October 1, ahead of the opening.
With prices rising across many areas in recent years, the cost of enjoying skiing and snowboarding has been creeping up as well, and more skiers and snowboarders are staying away from ski resorts. The resort says it does not want people to give up the skiing and snowboarding they love because of price, so it has prepared discounted early bird tickets to make it easier to head to the snow.
"Yachiho Special 8" Stays at ¥3,000 Per Ticket Again This Year
The "Yachiho Special 8," sold in October only, is a set of 8 lift day tickets that can be used any time during the season. It costs ¥24,000 (¥3,000 per ticket), the same price as last season.
The tickets are valid for two seasons, 2026-27 and 2027-28, so any tickets left unused this season can be used next season.
The "Early Bird Day Ticket," on sale until November 30, comes in any-day and weekday versions so you can choose the days you plan to ski. Each ticket is ¥1,500 off the regular price and can be bought one ticket at a time.
Tickets can be purchased 24 hours a day at the "Loppi" terminals in Lawson and Ministop stores nationwide.

Early Bird Season Passes for Those Who Want to Ski Often
The "Special Early Bird Season Pass" is available until November 30 only, with ¥10,000 off the regular price in each age category. People who buy a season pass for two consecutive seasons also receive a repeater bonus of two lift day tickets for the current season.
For those who would like to ski first and decide later, the "Early Bird Season Pass" is available from December 1 to December 25 at ¥5,000 off the regular price. If you try the slopes at Yachiho Kogen and decide you want to visit more this season, a season pass is worth considering.
