Yamada Bee Farm Bunbun Factory Okayama City South Village Store will hold its grand opening on Thursday, October 29, 2026. The shop is located in Okayama City South Village, an agricultural park in Minami Ward, Okayama City, and has been in a pre-opening phase since August 8, 2026.
It is one of 14 directly operated Yamada Bee Farm stores across Japan. With the grand opening, the sales floor grows eightfold, from about 10 tsubo during the pre-opening phase to about 80 tsubo. The lineup of store products and café menu items has been greatly expanded, and a new photo spot where visitors can pose as honeybees and an exhibit space on the ecology of honeybees have been added. The store is designed for enjoying bees and honey with all five senses, together with family and friends.

What's New at the Grand Opening
1. Comparing Many Types of Honey in a Spacious Store
The sales floor expands to about 80 tsubo, with a layout that lets visitors take their time choosing the item they like. A new kids' space is also being added so that small children can enjoy the store too.
2. Expanded Café Menu and Products, Including the Popular Soft Serve
In addition to the "Honey Soft Serve" (はちみつソフト) and "Comb Honey Soft Serve" (巣蜜ソフト), which have been popular since the pre-opening, the café menu of honey-based items has been expanded. "Rich Chocolate with Melting Comb Honey" (巣蜜とろける濃厚ショコラ), which can be eaten only at the Okayama City South Village store, will be sold as an opening commemorative limited menu item while supplies last.
The store carries a wide range of products, including various honeys as well as "Honey Tea" (はちみつ紅茶) and "Honey Curry" (はちみつカレー), which are also popular in mail-order sales. An original set commemorating the grand opening is also planned.
3. Photo Spot and Beekeeping Exhibit for Families and Friends
A new interactive photo spot lets visitors pose as honeybees for pictures. The store also has an exhibit space where visitors can learn how beekeeping works and about the ecology of honeybees, making it a place to learn while having fun as well as to shop.
