The calf was born to mother Lulu (ルル) and father Toto (トト), and is male. Nursing was confirmed about seven hours after birth, and the calf has been growing steadily, swimming energetically alongside its mother.
The baby dolphin currently lives in the pool next to the Aqua Museum's 4th-floor Live Stadium, where it can be viewed from the upper level of the Live Stadium.
About the New Calf
- Birth date: July 30, 2026 (Thursday), 4:42 AM
- Sex: Male
- Body length: Approx. 110 cm (estimated at birth)
- Weight: Approx. 14 kg (estimated at birth)
Pacific white-sided dolphins have a nervous disposition, making them very difficult to breed, and few calves are said to survive to adulthood after birth. This is Lulu's fifth birth, and she is a skilled mother, supporting her calves' swimming and nursing them well.

Keepers are watching closely over the energetic calf to help it grow up healthy, while the aquarium continues its planned breeding efforts as part of its ongoing work toward species conservation.
