Tsukuba, as a science city, has a more international vibe, with bars and casual izakayas popular among foreign visitors. In port towns like Tsuchiura and Hitachi, seafood izakayas offer ultra-fresh catches alongside local sake. In Koga and Toride, commuter towns near Tokyo, casual tavern streets attract office workers for easy bar hopping. For visitors, Hitachinaka and Oarai are popular coastal destinations, where seafood markets double as lively drinking areas. Some places may not speak English, but with a local guide you can relax and enjoy. In certain areas, bars may be limited, so we will check if bar hopping is possible.
