“Okuhida Onsenkyo” is a hot spring area located in the northeastern part of Gifu Prefecture, spread at the foot of the beautiful mountains of the Northern Alps. This region is part of the Chubu Sangaku National Park, and its natural beauty is remarkable. “Okuhida Onsenkyo” is composed of the following five hot spring areas, each with its own unique charm:

The distinguishing feature of the hot springs in this area is their abundant water output. With a flow rate of 37,000 liters per minute, it ranks third in Japan. The tourist spots of “Hida Takayama” are also nearby, where visitors can experience traditional streetscapes and culture.
