Acqua di Parma will reopen its GINZA SIX boutique — the brand's first boutique in Japan — on September 18, bringing a new expression of Italian Art of Living to Tokyo once again. Designed as a space for discovery, dialogue, and sensory exploration, the boutique will invite visitors to experience the maison's world through fragrance and Italian design.
Design by Dorothée Meilichzon
The GINZA SIX flagship store features design created exclusively for Acqua di Parma by Dorothée Meilichzon. The entrance welcoming guests is finished with a woven fiberglass facade — a design code shared across the maison's key boutiques — while the floor is laid with ceramic tiles from Todobarro.
Inside the Boutique
The in-store experience begins at an animated table introducing new products and seasonal recommendations, then continues further inside to a fragrance bar that embodies Acqua di Parma's olfactory creativity. The Colonia Collection, the foundation of the maison and beloved across generations for its many charms, expresses a lively Italian sophistication through fresh top notes and aromatic heart notes. Buongiorno La Collezione is an ode to finding beauty in even the smallest things. The Blu Mediterraneo Collection offers a radiant, refreshing fragrance that captures the essence of the Mediterranean's gifts and the atmosphere of Italy's sun-drenched coastal towns. And the refined yet unexpected Signatures of the Sun Collection highlights the complexity and brilliance of its premium ingredients.
The symbolic back wall displays Acqua di Parma's full range of products, from the iconic Chapeau! Candle to bath and body items and Art of Living pieces. The Chapeau! Candle, designed by Dorothée Meilichzon, reinterprets the maison's Art Deco bottle in both form and function. The Art of Living Collection, meanwhile, features beautifully crafted leather items that bring fragrance and style into everyday life.
The journey continues to a bar dedicated to the maison's home fragrance collection. The bath and body area sits within a niche space accented in the brand's signature yellow, where visitors can try a range of products. A dedicated consultation area has also been newly added, letting visitors explore ingredients, fragrance families, and their own preferences with guidance from experts.
A Nod to Japanese Craftsmanship
This area is accented with local design elements that pay homage to Japanese materials and craftsmanship. Backlit kumiko latticework features a motif that renders Acqua di Parma's Art Deco bottle in three dimensions, set against a backdrop of traditional washi paper.
About Acqua di Parma
Since its founding in 1916, Acqua di Parma has embodied Italy's refined spirit and its Arte di Vivere (art of living). Beginning with Colonia and nurtured by the passion of Baron Carlo Magnani, the maison blends traditional craftsmanship with a contemporary vision, elevating complexity into natural elegance. More than a century after its founding, its fragrances and objects — created as discerning luxury items — continue to symbolize the vibrant style at the heart of the maison.
