Summer Marine & Resort Activities Launch at ANA InterContinental Manza Beach Resort in Okinawa

ANA InterContinental Manza Beach Resort, located in Onna Village, Okinawa, has opened reservations for its 2026 summer special program "Summer-Limited Marine & Resort Activities." Set against the emerald-green sea, beautiful coral reefs, and star-filled night skies of Manza, the resort is rolling out a diverse lineup of activities for guests to experience Okinawa's natural environment throughout the day and into the evening.

Four Featured Activities: Day and Night

Minna Island Snorkeling Tour

Minna Island (Minnajima) — known for its vivid cyan-blue and cobalt-blue waters and powdery white sandy beaches — serves as the backdrop for a fully private snorkeling tour. The exceptional water clarity reveals thriving coral reefs and colorful tropical fish, creating an experience akin to swimming inside a natural aquarium. The tour is limited to one group at a time, allowing families and friends to enjoy the sea at their own pace without other guests nearby.

Experienced instructors accompany every session, guiding participants through equipment use and providing in-water support. The program welcomes first-time snorkelers and those who may feel less confident in the water.

  • Price: Hotel guests ¥100,000 / Visitors ¥120,000 (boat charter, up to 6 people)

Night Trekking

Heading out into the subtropical nature of the resort after dark, flashlight in hand, guests can tune into the sounds and sights of nighttime Okinawa — encountering nocturnal creatures and plants that look completely different from how they appear during the day. This summer-only experience works well as an educational adventure for children and families alike.

Night Trekking

  • Price: From ¥3,000 per person

Fireworks Cruise

Watch dazzling summer fireworks light up the night sky from the unobstructed deck of a large, stable yacht. With nothing blocking the view, guests enjoy an unrivaled vantage point on the sea.

  • Price: Adults ¥5,000 / Children (ages 3–12) ¥4,500 (1 drink included)

Coral Conservation Programs: Learn Through Experience

The resort also runs experience-based programs centered on coral conservation, aimed at helping guests — particularly children — develop curiosity and awareness about the marine environment.

Coral reefs of Onna Village

Three plans are available, all of which include a coral lecture and a vetiver bracelet-making workshop. The lecture covers the environmental challenges facing coral reefs in an accessible format, while the bracelet activity uses vetiver — a plant cultivated to prevent the red soil runoff that harms coral — turning the workshop into a hands-on lesson in environmental care. The programs suit children's independent study projects as much as they do adult travelers with an interest in sustainability.

The waters off Onna Village, known as "Manza Blue" for their exceptional clarity, are sustained by the area's rich coral reef ecosystem. Rising ocean temperatures and environmental pressures in recent years have contributed to coral decline at sites around the world. The resort has been participating in the "Team Chura Sango" coral conservation initiative since 2003 and is also a member of the internationally recognized marine conservation framework "Green Fins." In 2025, its efforts were recognized with the program's top Gold Rank rating — the first for a resort hotel in Japan.
