"Andoya Mitsumine Shrine" (安堵屋 三峯神社店), the second location of the Chichibu restaurant "Andoya" (あんどや), will hold its grand opening on Friday, November 6, 2026. Ahead of that date, a pre-opening runs from Sunday, October 25 to Thursday, November 5. The restaurant stands just above the city-run Mitsumine parking lot, close to Mitsumine Shrine in Chichibu, Saitama Prefecture.
Unlike the takeout-only Michi-no-Eki Otaki Onsen branch, the Mitsumine Shrine location has a dine-in area. Visitors can enjoy tastes of Chichibu, such as Chichibu Manpuku Gozen, Chichibu's signature walnut soba and the Chichibu Amarin Smoothie, on the way to or from the shrine.

A Place to Rest at the Foot of Mitsumine Shrine
Mitsumine Shrine is an ancient shrine said to have begun when Yamato Takeru no Mikoto visited the area during his eastern campaign and enshrined Izanagi no Mikoto and Izanami no Mikoto. It stands in the mountains at an elevation of about 1,100 m. In the Edo period, devotion to the shrine spread across the Kanto region through talismans of the wolf "Oinu-sama," the shrine's divine messenger. Today it is known as one of the leading power spots in Saitama Prefecture, and many worshippers and tourists visit from inside and outside the prefecture.
Andoya Mitsumine Shrine is a restaurant above the city-run Mitsumine parking lot used by visitors to the shrine. It is a one-minute walk from the last stop of the express bus bound for "Mitsumine Jinja" from Seibu-Chichibu Station. Inside are dine-in seats and counter seats, so visitors can sit down for a meal before or after worshipping or hiking.
The restaurant is run by the general incorporated association Chichibu Yuimachi (ちちぶ結いまち), which runs Andoya as a "community-contribution food hub" under the motto "Eating supports the community." The Mitsumine Shrine location follows the first store, the Michi-no-Eki Otaki Onsen branch, and opens at one of Chichibu's most representative places of worship.
Pre-Opening From October 25, Ahead of the Grand Opening
Before the grand opening on November 6, the restaurant operates as a pre-opening from Sunday, October 25 to Thursday, November 5. It is open to everyone as Mitsumine heads into the autumn leaf season.

- Feedback received during the pre-opening will be used to refine the menu and guidance ahead of the grand opening.

The representative director of Chichibu Yuimachi says: "Many people visit Mitsumine Shrine throughout the year. We prepared this restaurant with the wish to create a place where people who have climbed the mountain road can sit down and enjoy the tastes of Chichibu. We will spread the cycle in which eating supports the community from Okuchichibu. We will make use of the voices we receive during the pre-opening and keep polishing the restaurant toward the grand opening."
A Restaurant and a Logistics Base
Andoya is being developed not only as a restaurant but also as a base supporting last-mile delivery in hilly and mountainous areas. The Michi-no-Eki Otaki Onsen branch has a drone port, and the Mitsumine Shrine location is also setting up a drone port nearby and a logistics warehouse inside the shop. The plan is to link the roadside station branch and the Mitsumine Shrine branch as a drone delivery route, creating a new means of delivery when tourist traffic causes congestion.
