AS2OV x NEPENTHES Collaboration Bag Launches in Japan Starting May 1

Japanese bag brand AS2OV and select shop NEPENTHES — with bases in Tokyo, New York, and Los Angeles — are releasing their first-ever collaboration piece in Japan. The NEPENTHES Special Order WATER PROOF SUEDE DRAWSTRING BAG goes on sale from May 1, 2026 (Friday).

The bag comes in two colorways, each reflecting the individual shop identity of NEPENTHES NEW YORK (NAVY) and NEPENTHES LOS ANGELES (GRAY). Both items went on sale at their respective U.S. locations on April 24 (local time), ahead of the Japan launch.

Waterproof Suede Made from Premium North American Hides

The outer material is an original AS2OV waterproof suede crafted from rare 2mm-thick, premium-grade North American hides. The fabric goes through two rounds of surface treatment and dyeing, resulting in a beautifully napped texture and deep color, with waterproofing agents penetrating all the way through the material for high water repellency.

Waterproof Interior and Functional Details

To boost waterproofing performance, the interior lining uses bright nylon fabric with a PVC coating, and the front zipper is a water-resistant type that helps protect contents from moisture.

Suede panels on the shoulder area help distribute and reduce the load when carrying the bag. The drawcord features a one-action length-adjustment component in a color matched to the fabric, making it easy to adapt the bag's form for different outfits and occasions.

Both brand logos are rendered in embossed detailing to emphasize the leather-like texture of the material.
