RED MAKER Corporation (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Yasuo Hara), which operates matching businesses connecting IPs in anime, manga, games, and sports with their fans based at Tokyo Tower, is participating in planning for the "Asahifuji Dojo Premium Sumo Experience" hosted by Maison Culture Network Co., Ltd.
This event offers a premium experience where participants can enjoy Japan's traditional culture of sumo in an accessible and entertaining way.
At the dohyo of Asahifuji Dojo (formerly Isegahama-beya), where the 63rd Yokozuna Asahifuji is affiliated and which has produced more than 10 sekitori including 2 yokozuna, participants can actually experience basic sumo training such as shiko (stomping), suriashi (sliding steps), and teppo (striking the practice pole).
Normally, women are not permitted to enter the dohyo, but this event makes a special exception allowing women to participate in the experience.
Furthermore, participants can watch powerful matches by former makuuchi wrestlers up close, and after training, enjoy a dining experience where they can eat chanko-nabe and large platters of food that wrestlers regularly consume, together with former wrestlers.
This is a unique, special experience where participants can feel the "strength," "power," "fun," and "deliciousness" of sumo all at once.
