Takanawa Sakura Festival 2026 Returns to Prince Hotels - Experience Spring in Central Tokyo with Cherry Blossoms

The Prince Hotels in the Takanawa area (The Prince Sakura Tower Tokyo, Grand Prince Hotel Takanawa, Takanawa Hanakohro, and Grand Prince Hotel New Takanawa, located at 3-13-1 Takanawa, Minato-ku, Tokyo) will host the "Takanawa Sakura Festival 2026" from March 6 (Friday) to April 19 (Sunday), offering visitors the opportunity to enjoy spring with all five senses.

The Japanese garden at its most vibrant in spring

Located just a 5-minute walk from Shinagawa Station, the Prince Hotels in Takanawa feature an approximately 20,000㎡ Japanese garden where beautiful nature, historic buildings, and bamboo lights harmonize. Starting with the Kawazu cherry blossoms that bloom in early February, 17 varieties and approximately 210 cherry trees bloom in succession, including Somei Yoshino and weeping cherry trees, creating spectacular cherry blossom views in central Tokyo.

The "Takanawa Sakura Festival 2026" returns this year with the concept of delivering "Takanawa Time" where hearts and bodies are fulfilled away from the hustle and bustle. Visitors can participate in limited-time special events including traditional culture experiences through workshops in collaboration with Kyoto City (now in its 8th year), morning yoga sessions under the cherry blossoms to refresh mind and body, kimono dressing experiences, cherry blossom breakfast stays overlooking the garden, seasonal restaurant menus featuring spring delicacies, the debut appearance of a kitchen car serving tea and matcha sweets, and the first concert by Tokai University Takanawadai High School Brass Band in the Japanese garden.

Enjoy elegant Takanawa Time while viewing the fleeting yet beautiful cherry blossoms.
