A festival-themed BBQ beer garden is set to open on the rooftop of Asakusa EKIMISE, the shopping facility directly connected to Tobu Skytree Line's Asakusa Station, starting May 27, 2026. The venue will run through October 18, 2026.
The concept behind the venue is an outdoor urban space where visitors can enjoy the atmosphere of a traditional Japanese festival (matsuri) combined with BBQ dining. With views of Tokyo Skytree® from the open rooftop, the experience combines full-scale BBQ with the fun of old-fashioned carnival stalls.
A Rooftop Festival Experience
The rooftop is designed to evoke the nostalgic feel of a Japanese summer festival. The scent of freshly grilled meat, takoyaki, and karaage drifts through the air, and classic stall foods — potato snacks, yakisoba, and ice cream sherbets — are available. Guests can also enjoy carnival activities including shooting galleries, ring toss, and smart ball, providing entertainment for all ages.
No Preparation Needed
The venue operates on a hands-free concept — guests are not required to bring any food or equipment. A selection of carefully sourced ingredients and all-you-can-drink beverages are provided, making it easy to enjoy the experience with friends, family, or a partner.
The rooftop is equipped with tents, making it a fully weather-protected space. Visitors can enjoy the festival atmosphere even on sunny or rainy days, though operations may be suspended during high winds or severe weather conditions.
