Tokushima's Awa Odori Kaikan Celebrates 27th Anniversary with Special Festival

Awa Odori Kaikan, the hall in Tokushima City dedicated to the local Awa Odori dance tradition, is marking the 27th anniversary of its opening with an "Awa Odori Kaikan Festival" on July 18 and 19, 2026.

Kids' Special Performance

A special performance puts the spotlight on children who belong to well-known Awa Odori troupes (ren).

Date: July 18 (Saturday)
Times: 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM (60 minutes per session; unreserved seating)
Venue: 2nd Floor Awa Odori Hall
Capacity: 250 people
Admission: Same-day tickets — high school students and older: ¥2,500; junior high school students and younger: ¥1,000; ages 2 and under: free (lap seating only)

Awa Odori Museum Free Admission

The Awa Odori Museum on the 3rd floor, where visitors can learn about the culture and history of Awa Odori, will offer free admission during the festival.
