Azumino Kochouan, the brand behind popular products like Torokeru Nama Daifuku, operated by Watahan Mihara Shoten Co., Ltd. (Azumino City, Nagano Prefecture, President: Tomohiro Kitazawa), has announced that their signature product Harapeko Cheesecake has won the Excellence Award in the Sweets Division at the Bento & Deli Grand Prix 2026. The product was selected from over 15,000 entries submitted to the Delicatessen Trade Show hosted by the Japan Supermarket Association.
A Playful Take on Classic Swiss Cheese
The Harapeko Cheesecake features a playful design inspired by traditional "hole-filled cheese," with each piece handcrafted by skilled artisans. The cheesecake offers a rich yet balanced flavor profile, combining sweetness and acidity in a way that appeals to all generations, from children to adults. The secret to its delicious taste lies in the unique craftsmanship that blends Shinshu natural cheese with creamy cheese, creating a refreshing yet rich flavor.
This product is perfect not only for home enjoyment but also as a gift or special occasion dessert.
