Yokohama Nishiguchi Ichibangai, a dining alley a five-minute walk from the west exit of Yokohama Station, is opening a new restaurant called Beef Kitchen Stand Hanare on July 1, 2026 (Wednesday). It will be the last new shop to join the alley before the complex closes.
Yokohama Nishiguchi Ichibangai's closing date has already been set for September 30, 2026, meaning the new restaurant will operate for only about three months. Rather than scaling back as the closure approaches, the operator chose to keep introducing something new through the alley's final chapter.

A Call for Memories of Yokohama Nishiguchi Ichibangai
Ahead of the closure, Yokohama Nishiguchi Ichibangai is asking visitors to share their memories of the alley — first dates, a drink after work, gatherings with friends, and meals with family among them. Photos and stories can be posted on Instagram and X with the hashtags #横浜西口一番街 and #横浜西口一番街最終章; submissions may be featured on the official social media accounts or displayed inside the alley.
About Yokohama Nishiguchi Ichibangai
Yokohama Nishiguchi Ichibangai has served as a dining alley near Yokohama Station's west exit since it opened in 2020. Over five and a half years, it grew into a destination drawing about 20,000 visitors a month before its scheduled closure on September 30, 2026.
Comment from President Takeshi Matsumoto

"Most operators wouldn't open a new shop in a facility that's already set to close. But we wanted to keep challenging ourselves right to the end.
Closing isn't a reason to stop — it's exactly why we wanted to try something new. This is also our way of giving back to everyone who has supported Yokohama Nishiguchi Ichibangai over the past five and a half years.
We hope these final three months become a time that both our guests and we will never forget. The chance to spend time in this same place, with the same people, won't come again — we hope everyone enjoys it to the fullest."
