Chen Mapo Tofu (陳麻婆豆腐), known as the birthplace of mapo tofu, is holding a limited-time collaboration with the anime BAKI-DOU: The Invincible Samurai (刃牙道), which has been airing on TV since October. The collaboration slogan is "I Don't Mind At All If It's Mapo Tofu!!!" (麻婆豆腐で一向にかまわん！！！).
Three limited menu items express the world of BAKI-DOU: The Invincible Samurai through mapo tofu: Retsu Kaioh's Medicinal Mala Mushroom Mapo, Baki's Stamina Guilty-Pleasure Mapo, and 消力 Almond Tofu.
Customers who order an eligible menu item also receive one of 8 collaboration stickers at random. Collaboration-exclusive towels and acrylic key chains will be on sale as well, and a social media giveaway of the acrylic key chains is also planned.
Collaboration Menu: Two Mapo Tofu Dishes and an Almond Tofu
The collaboration offers two mapo tofu dishes and an almond tofu inspired by the world of BAKI-DOU: The Invincible Samurai.
Retsu Kaioh's Medicinal Mala Mushroom Mapo (烈海王的 薬膳麻辣キノコ麻婆)
A restorative medicinal mapo tofu in the spirit of Retsu Kaioh (烈海王)'s hospitality. It features three kinds of mushrooms and a homemade medicinal-spice chili oil.
Baki's Stamina Guilty-Pleasure Mapo (刃牙的 スタミナ背徳麻婆)
Inspired by the source of stamina for Baki (刃牙), who aims to be the strongest. This guilty-pleasure mapo tofu is topped with garlic and extra-thick chashu (braised pork) piled up like a mountain.
The amount of chashu can be chosen from Warrior Class (戦士級) at 100 grams, King Class (王者級) at 200 grams, or Strongest on Earth Class (地上最強級) at 300 grams.
消力 Almond Tofu (消力杏仁豆腐)
An almond tofu that expresses "消力", the technique mastered by Kaku Kaioh (郭海王). Chinese herbal ingredients refreshingly soften the spiciness of the mapo tofu.

Deep beneath the Skytree, in a laboratory owned by Mitsunari Tokugawa (徳川光成), the world's greatest martial arts fan, a forbidden experiment is about to be carried out. The experiment is to use cutting-edge science to create a clone from the remains of the legendary swordsman Musashi Miyamoto (宮本武蔵) and bring him back to the present day.
The return of Musashi, who has enjoyed every title and acclaim of strength, such as the ultimate in martial arts, sword saint, and peerless under heaven, shakes modern Japan and even the whole world and throws it into a state of emergency. Drawing in the fighters of the underground arena, Baki (刃牙), Yujiro (勇次郎), and everyone who lives for fighting, a contest to decide the strongest of all time across the ages is about to begin.

About Chen Mapo Tofu
Chen Mapo Tofu is a long-established restaurant of authentic Sichuan cuisine recognized by the Chinese government, and is known as the birthplace of mapo tofu. The original "Chen Mapo Tofu" restaurant opened in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, in 1862, more than 160 years ago. In Japan, the previous owner, who fell in love with the taste of Chen Mapo Tofu, made repeated trips to the original restaurant in Chengdu, and in 2000 the brand "Chen Mapo Tofu" was permitted to operate under that signboard, the only one in the world to be allowed to do so.
