Immersive video imagery concept
THRUSTER Co., Ltd., a company specializing in communication design and development using cutting-edge technology (headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director: Tomonori Shimano), has been responsible for creative development, content planning and production, setup, and operations for the special exhibition "Betsucomi 55th ANNIV. BEYOND THE PAGE: The Story of Love Continues" hosted by Shogakukan Inc. The exhibition will be held at LUMINE 0 NEWoMan Shinjuku from October 3rd (Fri) to 13th (Mon, Holiday), 2025.
This exhibition is a special commemoration of the 55th anniversary of the girls' manga magazine "Bessatsu Shojo Comic," which was first published in 1970 and is now known as "Betsucomi." Visitors can experience immersive visuals featuring famous scenes from popular works such as "The Poe Clan," "BASARA," and "BANANA FISH," view original artwork displays showcasing 55 years of carefully selected works, and see rare production materials and videos available only at this venue.
Drawing on expertise gained through joint projects with Shogakukan developing metaverse and full-scale VR live content (Virtual Live Arena: VLA), THRUSTER brings digital technology to breathe new life into works that have been beloved for 55 years, creating a space that evokes memories of readers' "love" for these stories. We look forward to welcoming all visitors.

What is Betsucomi?
First published in 1970, released on the 13th of each month. Originally launched as a supplement to "Shojo Comic" under the title "Bessatsu Shojo Comic," it was renamed "Betsucomi" in 2002 and became the current "Betsucomi" in 2006. The magazine has published numerous works with grand scale and deep storytelling that transcend the boundaries of girls' manga.
