Biwako Marriott Hotel, situated on the shores of Lake Biwa in Moriyama, Shiga Prefecture, will be serving a seasonal afternoon tea called "Peach Afternoon Tea with Rose Aroma" from July 1 to August 31, 2026. The experience takes place at the hotel's 12th-floor restaurant, Grill & Dining G.
The tiered tea stand is styled in shades of blush pink and features eight peach-centered sweets, each designed to highlight a different texture or flavor note — from a gentle mousse to a tartlet with the tart accent of adberry. Alongside the sweets, four savory dishes incorporate local Shiga ingredients including Oumi Beef and Oumi Duck, providing a savory counterpoint to the sweeter courses.
Free-flow beverages include a selection of nine Art of Tea organic teas as well as a specialty "Raspberry Nectar" tea and coffee, with guests free to switch between varieties throughout the sitting.
