Cacaotier Gokan in Osaka Opens Reservations on October 14 for a Limited Advent Calendar of 24 Chocolates and Sweets

Cacaotier Gokan, a chocolatier in Koraibashi, Osaka, that also takes a bean-to-bar approach (a method that handles everything from selecting cacao beans to finishing the chocolate), will begin taking reservations for its limited-quantity Advent calendar, "Cacaotier Advent (Calendrier de l'Avent du Cacaotier)," on Wednesday, October 14, 2026.

Each small box holds one of 24 bonbons au chocolat, petits fours and baked sweets, chosen by the chocolatier for their cacao origins and flavors. Opening one box a day lets you count down the days to Christmas.

24 Pieces With Different Ingredients and Textures

The 24 pieces differ in both flavor and texture. They include "Mariage Rouge," ruby chocolate decorated with three kinds of berries, and "Champagne," centered on champagne made from 100% Chardonnay and paired with a ganache of Ecuadorian cacao beans (in the cacao mass). There is also a chocolate with caramelized nuts.

Chocolates That Express the Character of Each Origin

The assortment includes chocolates that focus on the flavor of cacao itself, such as the "BTB (Bean to Bar)" series made with cacao beans from Ghana and Tobago. Ghana is characterized by "an aroma reminiscent of nuts and a strong cacao presence," while Tobago is characterized by "an aroma reminiscent of herbs and spices."
