A collaboration cafe, Cafe & Shimajiro, is opening at café STUDIO in Harajuku, Tokyo to celebrate the launch of the new brand & Shimajiro. The cafe runs from March 19 (Thursday) to April 5 (Sunday), 2026.
This is the first physical space where visitors can experience the world of & Shimajiro. The brand was created to bring Shimajiro — who celebrates his 40th anniversary in 2028 — closer to adults in everyday life, beyond his role as a companion to children during their growth. Before the cafe's opening, reservations exceeded 600 groups and 2,000 people, with some time slots already sold out, showing strong interest from adults who grew up with Shimajiro.

The collaboration menu brings & Shimajiro's world to life in a sophisticated Harajuku setting, with dishes and drinks crafted for adults as well as families.

The brand concept is "Smiling together & Shimajiro — Let's keep smiling together." The "&" in the name represents a wish to offer a "place of smiles" where everyone can be themselves, and to connect people through smiles to share everyday joys.
