About Champagne Bollinger

Founded in 1829 by Jacques Bollinger in the village of Aÿ in the Champagne region, the Maison continues to be managed by the founding family to this day.

Madame

When third-generation head Jacques Bollinger passed away during World War II, his widow Elizabeth "Lily" Bollinger worked tirelessly to protect the Maison by purchasing quality vineyards and expanding sales networks worldwide.

The Maison's commitment to quality, supported by traditional methods such as primary fermentation in oak barrels and extended aging in cellars, has earned it the rare distinction of holding the Royal Warrant from seven British monarchs continuously from Queen Victoria's appointment in 1884 through to King Charles III's appointment in 2024.

Bollinger has maintained a partnership with the James Bond film series for over 40 years, appearing as the champagne enjoyed by the iconic character on screen.

In 1992, the Maison published the "Bollinger Charter," committing to ethical and quality standards in production.

In 2012, Bollinger became the first Champagne Maison to obtain HVE (High Environmental Value) certification, followed in 2014 by becoming the first to receive VEC (Viticulture Durable en Champagne) certification for sustainable viticulture.

The Bollinger family's unwavering pursuit of quality has established the distinctive Bollinger style, characterized by elegance and the rich aroma of superior Pinot Noir from exceptional terroirs.
