Japanese patisserie Colombin is releasing four new seasonal cakes under the theme "A Relaxing Moment with Matcha Sweets," available at its shops and salons from April 16, 2026, for a limited time. The collection showcases the deep, aromatic flavor of Uji matcha paired with Colombin's signature butter cream.
Matcha Bavarian Cream — ¥810 (tax included)

An authentic Uji matcha Bavarian cream reimagined in an anmitsu-inspired style. Decorated with Hokkaido-grown red beans, strawberries, apricots, rice cake (gyuhi), and vanilla cream, the dessert is finished with a rich matcha sauce that adds a satisfying accent through to the last bite.
Gâteau Thé Vert — ¥756 (tax included)

Colombin's signature butter cream is blended with Uji matcha and layered over a matcha sponge, creating a cake described as "savoring matcha to the fullest." The result is a richly aromatic butter cake with a deep, lingering depth of flavor.
Matcha Tiramisu — ¥756 (tax included)

At the first bite, concentrated matcha syrup seeps out from the sponge, mingling with layers of matcha cream, vanilla cream, and mascarpone cream. Hokkaido-grown red beans add a nuanced sweetness throughout. The dessert is served in a bamboo-tube-shaped vessel for a touch of traditional ambiance.
The Matcha — ¥1,620 (tax included)

Fragrant Uji matcha is worked into both the roll sponge and the cream. Two types of cream — a milky whipped cream and a richly flavored butter cream — combine to deliver an indulgent melt-in-the-mouth experience filled with the full fragrance of matcha. Approximately 12 cm in length.
