Digital Sport "Cyber KASSEN" Introduced at THE ROBOT PARK ODAIBA, a New Experience Attraction Facility in Tokyo's Odaiba

The next-generation digital sport "Cyber KASSEN" has been introduced at THE ROBOT PARK ODAIBA, an experience attraction facility that grand-opened at Aqua City Odaiba in Minato City, Tokyo, on Thursday, October 15, 2026. The introduction was announced by the association that promotes Cyber KASSEN, 一般社団法人全日本サッセン協会.

The facility is run by Robot Ride Co., Ltd. (株式会社ロボットライド), a company that develops wearable robots such as "Skeletonics." Four attractions that make use of Japanese technology are offered inside, including giant robot piloting, a robot combat sport and a robot assembly workshop. Cyber KASSEN is one of the four, and lets visitors experience a digital battle using a sensor device worn on the arm and a soft sword.

THE ROBOT PARK ODAIBA opened on October 15, 2026, on the 6th floor of the West Building of Aqua City Odaiba. Until now, operator Robot Ride has held riding events for piloted robots, starting with the exoskeleton robot "Skeletonics," at its development base in Hachioji, Tokyo. According to the company, the Hachioji base has welcomed a cumulative total of more than 7,000 visitors from Japan and abroad. The new facility in Odaiba was created to bring the appeal of Japanese robot technology and craftsmanship to even more people.

Cyber KASSEN was chosen as one of the four attractions at the facility. Having been used at events and schools across Japan, it is now available as content at a permanent experience attraction facility as well.

A "Digital Battle" Fought with Sensors on Your Arms

Playing Cyber KASSEN with sensor devices and soft swords

Cyber KASSEN is a next-generation digital sport played in team battles with sensor devices worn on the arms and a dedicated app. Participants wear a device on each arm and use soft swords made of foam material to aim at their opponents' devices.

When a device is hit, it reacts with light and sound, and the situation is reflected in the dedicated app in real time.

Many people can battle at the same time, and the game can be played under a variety of rules suited to the number of participants and the purpose, such as team battles, survival battles and commander battles.

At THE ROBOT PARK ODAIBA, this technology is offered as a digital battle attraction that both children and adults can enjoy.

Four Experiences, from Giant Robot Piloting to Robot Battles

Attractions at THE ROBOT PARK ODAIBA

Visitors to THE ROBOT PARK ODAIBA can try four attractions, including Cyber KASSEN.

1. ROBOT FIGHT

A technology sport in which players wear a dedicated robot and fight each other. Sensors built into the robot judge the hits, so players can enjoy a game-like battle using their real bodies.

2. ROBOT RIDE

An experience attraction in which visitors ride "Skeletonics," an exoskeleton robot about 3 m tall. The rider's body movements are transmitted to the robot, giving the feeling of piloting a giant body.

3. Cyber KASSEN

A digital sport in which players battle using a sensor device worn on the arm and a soft sword. It combines real body movement with digital judging for a next-generation battle experience.

4. Robot assembly experience

A hands-on workshop using aluminum parts and tools of the kind also used in actual robots. Through making things, participants can get a feel for robot technology and how machines work.

A Digital Sport for Visitors from Japan and Abroad

THE ROBOT PARK ODAIBA is aimed at a wide range of visitors, including domestic and international tourists to Tokyo and families. Cyber KASSEN is easy to understand, with intuitive rules: players use dedicated devices and soft swords and aim at their opponents' devices.

Because it is an active, hands-on experience, it also depends less on language, so it may be enjoyed by visitors from overseas as well. The association hopes the introduction will widen the opportunities for more people to try a digital sport from Japan.

Expanding to Commercial Facilities and Permanent Attractions

Cyber KASSEN has been used across Japan in school classes, local government events, corporate recreation and commercial facilities. Its introduction at THE ROBOT PARK ODAIBA means it can now be enjoyed at a permanent attraction facility, in addition to temporary experiences at events.

Going forward, the association plans to widen the opportunities to try Cyber KASSEN through introductions at commercial facilities, tourist facilities and experience attraction facilities, in addition to holding events.
