DEAN & DELUCA Okayama Introduces Exotic "Persian Love Tea" and Two New Floral Spring Drinks

DEAN & DELUCA Okayama, located in Mori no Machi Grace in central Okayama City, is adding two new "Flower Teas" to its menu starting Thursday, February 26, 2026. Both are available for a limited period through April 1.

Two Fragrant "Flower Teas" for Spring

These seasonal drinks celebrate the arrival of spring through aroma and flavor. The lineup features two varieties, including one making its debut this year.

The first is the Persian Love Tea, an exotic new drink inspired by the traditional Persian confection known as "Persian Love Cake." It is crafted around rose – a symbol of love – and saffron, representing passion, with layers of mint carefully extracted to create a complex, aromatic brew. Flowers, herbs, and spices come together in a single cup to deliver a deeply layered taste.

The other is the Lavender Earl Grey Tea Latte, a bergamot-scented black tea with lavender, gently rounded out by honey and cheese. Rather than leaning on sweetness or floral brightness alone, both drinks are designed to highlight the natural umami, astringency, and depth of the tea leaves – resulting in a light, satisfying finish.

Spring is a season when the air grows lighter, though the body can still feel residual chill. These warm and refreshing flower teas make an ideal companion for moments when a change of mood is welcome.

Persian Love Tea

¥745 (tax included)

Persian Love Tea

The base is a carefully brewed mint tea blended with saffron and cardamom, to which a rose mint syrup – made from rose flowers, fresh mint, and date syrup – is dissolved. The drink is then garnished with rose petals, mint, pomegranate, and pistachios. Behind a crisp initial impression, diverse flavors unfold elegantly, creating an exotic floral tea experience.

The drink draws on the legend of the Persian Love Cake, said to have been baked by a Persian woman to win the heart of a prince. Traditional recipes feature rosewater as a symbol of love, saffron for passion, and pistachios. Following this tradition, the tea uses saffron – regarded as the world's most precious spice – alongside rose and mint, with the essence of each ingredient carefully drawn out. Flowers, fruit, herbs, spices, and nuts come together in the cup to deliver a captivating aroma and flavor with every sip.

Lavender Earl Grey Tea Latte

¥745 (tax included)

Lavender Earl Grey Tea Latte

A rich base of lavender, Earl Grey tea, milk, and honey is generously topped with honey cheese cream, then finished with a drizzle of honey and a touch of lavender. The iced version offers a more pronounced lavender and Earl Grey aroma, while the hot version brings out a fuller, creamier cheese richness.
