Dr. Martens x The Powerpuff Girls Collaboration Collection Launches August 27
Dr. Martens is teaming up once again with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products (WBDGCP) for a bold new footwear and accessories collection inspired by the heroes and villains of the hit animated comedy series The Powerpuff Girls, launching worldwide on August 27 (Thursday).
Debuting in 1998, The Powerpuff Girls follows three kindergarten-age sisters with superpowers who attend school and go about daily life while protecting the city of Townsville from an evil organization. Created by legendary animator Craig McCracken, the series became a symbol of girlhood, individuality, and empowerment, with Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup at its heart.
Buzz 5i — Inspired by the Iconic Trio
The centerpiece of the collaboration, inspired by the iconic trio, is the "Buzz 5i" shoe. Made from Virginia leather, the model features a pink Buzz outsole, a bubble patch with the show's logo and brand logo, and triple stitching in green, blue, and pink honoring each sister's signature color. Custom shoelace charms and hang charms featuring the show's logo, "POW!", stars, flowers, and hearts, along with a printed insole capturing the show's playful world, round out the design's fine details.
Buzz Strap — Inspired by Mojo Jojo
The collection also includes the black "Buzz Strap" shoe, inspired by the series' notorious villain Mojo Jojo. Its mixed-material upper combines Kaya leather, hairy suede, and satin-finish leather, accented with vivid green details and gel patches reminiscent of the character's striking look, along with a custom tongue, a ray-gun charm, and a printed insole — all finished with the signature Buzz sole.
Buzz Hi — Inspired by HIM
Rounding out the footwear lineup is the "Buzz Hi," a red high-gloss patent leather shoe capturing the dramatic atmosphere of the demonic villain HIM. The model features custom claw-shaped zip pullers modeled after the character's distinctive hands, green accents, a printed insole, and a collector's hang charm featuring HIM's motif and the show's logo, all set on the substantial Buzz sole.
Bags and Accessories
Beyond footwear, a high-gloss patent "Mini Top Handle Bag" inspired by HIM also joins the lineup. The bag features a matching claw-shaped clip puller to coordinate with the Buzz Hi, an interchangeable charm, and contrasting green accents throughout.
Other styles include the Kiev leather "Heart Backpack," featuring printed heart graphics, a custom heart-shaped pocket, and playful hang charms inspired by the show's iconic artwork, including "POW!", stars, and hearts. The back of the bag is decorated with a graphic of the iconic trio, finished off with a vivid white trim line.
Completing the collection is the "Jacquard Heart Socks," made from an organic cotton blend and finished with heart graphics and logo details, offering a finishing touch for styling the collaboration.
Both accessories capture The Powerpuff Girls' bold, nostalgic spirit while adding a playful accent to everyday styling.
