Hobby Search (Bunkyo Ward, Tokyo) has opened pre-orders for "Evangelion Osechi 2027," a character osechi from De Agostini Japan.
No New Year in Japan is complete without osechi, the traditional multi-dish meal eaten to welcome the year, and for 2027 De Agostini Japan is bringing out a Neon Genesis Evangelion version. Hobby Search will carry it as well.
The original two-tier jubako box, printed with the words "超機密" ("Top Secret") and the NERV logo, holds a menu jointly developed by De Agostini Japan and long-established osechi maker Yamafuku (山福). The release calls the launch the start of a "「おせち補完計画」" — playfully, an "osechi completion plan."
The first tier is designed around the colors of Unit-00 (零号機), Unit-01 (初号機), and Unit-02 (2号機), while the second tier uses specially chosen ingredients to represent the pilot characters. The set also comes with a water-repellent furoshiki wrapping cloth printed with an A.T. Field pattern, a pick shaped like the Lance of Longinus, and other bonus items.

A Neon Genesis Evangelion osechi, marking the start of the "おせち補完計画." The two-tier Japanese-Western jubako is packed with ingredients themed on Unit-01, Unit-00, and Unit-02, and on the show's characters.
