Following the success of the exhibition "Missing" which attracted approximately 180,000 visitors across Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka, and Sapporo, talented horror writer Nashi, Yami Inc., and TV Tokyo producer Tokio Omori have reunited to create The Fear Exhibition, focusing on the concept of "fear" itself.
The exhibition was held at Shibuya BEAM Gallery in Tokyo from July 18 to September 15, 2025. Generating significant buzz on social media, it drew large crowds daily and recorded approximately 130,000 visitors.
Following the tremendous response at the Tokyo venue, the organizers have decided to bring The Fear Exhibition to Osaka. It will run from March 27 (Friday) to May 10 (Sunday), 2026 at Grand Front Osaka, North Building B1F Event Lab. Ticket sales through Lawson Ticket begin today, January 30, 2026 at 5:00 PM.
The Fear Exhibition in Osaka will feature displays themed around various "fears" including fear of "sharp objects," "confined spaces," and "being watched," similar to the Tokyo venue. In addition to the Tokyo exhibition content, new display pieces exclusive to the Osaka venue are also planned.
We invite you to visit this unique opportunity.

■ Nashi
Ryunosuke Akutagawa, who was also known as an avid ghost story enthusiast, wrote the following in a short essay titled "Recent Ghosts":
"In general, recent novels have become quite scientific in their portrayal of ghosts—or monsters. They don't feature blood-soaked ghosts or dancing skeletons as in Gothic ghost stories. In particular, the progress of recent spiritualism seems to have brought remarkable changes to ghosts in novels."
This observation left by the great writer approximately 100 years ago seems to offer important suggestions regarding "recent fears" in our modern era.

In 2022, worked as the original author for the manga "Just Tell Me Scary Stories" and published first book "Kawaisowara." Active in various fields.

I have many "phobias." Water phobia so severe I can't put my face in cold water, fear of confined spaces with no escape, and fear of endless infinity. These are part of me, one of the diverse aspects that constitute myself. They are like "troublesome neighbors" that cannot be separated. However, I believe it is because of such timid sensibilities that I can touch certain textures of the world. I look forward to you confronting your own "troublesome neighbors" in Osaka.

Representative of "Yami Inc.," a horror company that creates new horror experiences with "Horror × Technology" (Horror Tech). With the mission of "satisfying curiosity worldwide" with "horror is fun," produces horror in various places including haunted houses.
■ Tokio Omori
Almost no teeth, instead using a sticky long tongue to entangle termites—the anteater's eating method. Anteaters are somehow frightening. The Fear Exhibition doesn't try to justify or help you overcome such "inexplicable fear." It simply places that emotion flatly and observes it. Then fear begins to appear not as an enemy, but as something that illuminates your own outline.

What is The Fear Exhibition?
"Fear"
The dread and anxiety a person feels physiologically toward something.
Not just limited to life-threatening situations or pain,
It can also arise from things that don't seem like obvious objects of fear.
These fears sometimes involve inexplicable irrationality.
The Fear Exhibition displays items themed around various "fears"
including "sharp objects," "confined spaces," and "being watched."
We hope the various items displayed here
will provide an opportunity for you to confront your own fears.
