About the Ukiyoe Immersive Art Exhibition

The "Ukiyoe Immersive Art Exhibition" is an experiential digital art museum where visitors can immerse themselves in the world of ukiyo-e through three-dimensional video space. Based on over 300 works by world-renowned ukiyo-e artists such as Katsushika Hokusai, Utagawa Kuniyoshi, Utagawa Hiroshige, Kitagawa Utamaro, Tōshūsai Sharaku, and Utagawa Kunisada, the exhibition uses 3D CG animation and projection mapping to create graphical digital art works that can be enjoyed by adults and children alike. In addition to digital displays, the exhibition also features famous ukiyo-e prints from the Edo period and reproductions, with explanations about the history of ukiyo-e, Edo culture, and the ukiyo-e artists.
