"Home Pie Choco Darake" Inspired by Shimane's Izumo Zenzai

A new product is joining the "Home Pie Choco Darake Burari Japan Journey" spin-off series from FUJIYA CO., LTD., which launched in January 2025.

In this series, "Darake-san," the product character of "Home Pie Choco Darake," travels leisurely around Japan and enjoys the local specialties of each place visited. The sixth edition takes Darake-san to Shimane Prefecture. This limited-edition Choco Darake is inspired by "Izumo zenzai," which originated in the Izumo region of Shimane, and features a rich, deep sweetness with a zenzai flavor.

The product comes in six individually wrapped designs depicting Darake-san traveling around Shimane, making it a delicious and playful treat.

All six individual wrapper designs tell a story of Darake-san's journey through Shimane!

Izumo Zenzai Gakkai (出雲ぜんざい学会) is an organization that explores the historical fact that Izumo is the birthplace of zenzai. It also aims to promote town revitalization (regional revitalization) through "Izumo zenzai" and to share and spread its appeal nationwide as a traditional Japanese food culture.
