A new Japanese maple whisky called "Fuka" (楓香) is now accepting lottery applications through the online craft liquor shop Kurand. The sale opened on March 11, 2026 at 5:00 PM.
About Fuka
Fuka is a maple whisky that blends a domestic rice whisky base — aged in oak barrels — with carefully selected Canadian maple syrup. The combination pairs the boldness of aged whisky with the pure sweetness nurtured by Canada's natural landscapes. Using a proprietary production method, the two distinct characters — the nutty aroma of the grain and the deep richness of the syrup — come together to create a luxurious and refined harmony.

Tasting Notes
Fuka opens with a sweet vanilla-like aroma from the oak barrel, layered with the dense richness of maple syrup. The smoothness characteristic of the rice whisky base interweaves with woody barrel notes, leaving an elegant and aromatic finish. It can be enjoyed neat or on the rocks to savour the full depth of its ingredients, or as a highball with sparkling water to bring out its lively, fragrant character.
