Furusato Nabe Grand Prix 2027, bringing together hot pots from across Japan, will be held in Hibiya Park
Hometown Flavors from Across Japan Gather in Hibiya Park in Midwinter
Across Japan, there are distinctive hot pot dishes that make use of each region's climate, food culture, and the bounty of the sea, mountains, and countryside.
At Furusato Nabe Grand Prix 2027, local and regional hot pots from all over the country will be brought together. Without leaving Tokyo, visitors can compare a wide variety of hot pots as if traveling around Japan, making this a food event suited to the winter season.
The event takes place at the end of January, one of the coldest times of the year. Over three days, visitors can enjoy local flavors and food culture around steaming hot pots.
Eat, Vote, and Choose Japan's Top Hot Pot
The centerpiece of the event is the visitor-participation "Furusato Nabe Grand Prix" (ふるさと鍋グランプリ). Visitors who taste the hot pots at the venue take part in online voting, which decides the 2027 Grand Prix.
Votes can be cast for each visitor's favorite pot, whether for its flavor, its regional ingredients and ideas, its appearance, or simply because it is a bowl they want to eat again. Visitors are invited to compare the pots from across the country at the venue and find a favorite of their own.

The Grand Prix is decided by visitors' votes
A Heated "Warm Tent" and a DJ Playing Showa-Era Pop Songs
A heated "warm tent" (あったかテント) will be set up inside the venue, a welcome feature in the cold season. A DJ will also appear in the tent and play nostalgic songs live, with Showa-era kayōkyoku (pop songs) on the program.
