SUPER ART & CRAFT MARKET 2026 Holds Its First Standalone Edition at Tokyo Midtown Hibiya, November 13 to 15

From Friday, November 13 to Sunday, November 15, 2026, SUPER ART & CRAFT MARKET 2026 (SACM) will be held for three days in the underground arcade of Tokyo Midtown Hibiya (東京ミッドタウン日比谷 地下アーケード). BEAMS (株式会社ビームス) is organizing the event through its group company BEAMS CREATIVE (株式会社ビームスクリエイティブ), as part of its business producing operations, together with Avex Creator Agency (エイベックス・クリエイター・エージェンシー) and Mitsui Fudosan Co., Ltd.

SACM is a market event jointly produced by Avex Creator Agency (MEET YOUR ART) and BEAMS CREATIVE, with the art festival MEET YOUR ART FESTIVAL as its starting point. After being held for two consecutive years within the festival, it will be held as a standalone event for the first time, with Tokyo Midtown Hibiya as its venue.

The theme for 2026 is "NEW RITUALS." Around 40 shops and creators from across Japan will take part, centered on art, craft, and food and drink.

Drawing on the networks and perspectives that MEET YOUR ART and BEAMS have each built up, the market curates a variety of shops and creators across art, craft, and food and drink, without being bound by genre or existing categories. Through encounters with works, products, food, and the people who make them, the three days invite each visitor to find their own "NEW RITUALS."

Starting from fashion, BEAMS has long been involved in a range of cultures, including art, music, and craft, and has shared their appeal. For this SACM as well, it draws on that background to create a place for encountering new culture together with MEET YOUR ART.

"NEW RITUALS": New Habits You Choose for Your Life Ahead

Brewing tea, wrapping things, lighting a lamp, tidying your surroundings. Even ordinary everyday acts can become important time for yourself when you choose for yourself what to use and how to approach it.

The "RITUALS" that SACM has in mind are acts and moments chosen of one's own will to enrich daily life. Under the theme "NEW RITUALS," the market presents art, craft, and food and drink that visitors may want to bring into their lives from now on.

The concept is "Contemporary Craftsmanship" (コンテンポラリー・クラフツマンシップ). It re-examines Japanese aesthetics, traditional techniques, and the individuality rooted in each region through a contemporary sensibility and introduces them as new value. Through joint curation drawing on the networks and perspectives built up by Avex Creator Agency (MEET YOUR ART) and BEAMS CREATIVE, the market lets visitors experience makers' expression and craftsmanship across genres.

Highlights of SACM 2026

Runa Kuranaka Solo Exhibition: Depicting Japanese Daily Life Through "Form" and "Presence"

Paintings by Runa Kuranaka

Artist Runa Kuranaka (倉中るな) presents a special project, "Katachi to Kehai" (かたちとけはい, "Form and Presence"), in keeping with SACM's theme "NEW RITUALS." Taking objects and acts rooted in Japanese daily life as motifs, the works express their "form" (かたち) together with the "presence" (けはい) of the time and emotion within them, as sets of two pieces, one figurative and one abstract. The works will be exhibited and sold.

The motifs are chosen from Japanese customs and objects that Kuranaka wants to keep in life today or to take up anew, and the works address both a visible form and an invisible sensation. By experiencing both, visitors get a chance to look again at familiar objects and everyday acts.

Visitors can view the works and welcome the ones they like into their lives. Through that experience, the project offers what has been handed down in Japanese daily life as new habits to choose for oneself from now on.

Active in television, radio, commercials, and more as a TV personality and actor, Kuranaka appeared for the first time in the watercolor corner of the TBS-network program プレバト! in 2023 and was promoted to Special Honor Student (特待生) on that first appearance, drawing attention for the expressive power of the work.

As a painter, Kuranaka began working as an artist in 2023 and holds a solo exhibition at a gallery every year, and the multifaceted style has gained popularity. Kuranaka also focuses on hospital art, actively donating paintings to medical institutions and welfare facilities and doing live painting.

Daily "Storehouse Flea Market of Creation and Obsession" (創造と偏愛の蔵出しフリマ)

A special project welcomes creators involved in art, design, fashion, and other culture on a different day each day, who sell personal collections and products they have loved or collected over many years.

It is not an ordinary flea market. Through the exhibitors' own "creation" and "obsession" (偏愛), the project offers new encounters with objects, including art goods, crafts, apparel, hobby tools, and personal collections.

Three exhibitors take turns, one per day: graphic designer and antique collector Mikiji Nagai (永井ミキジ), the streetwear label Chaos Fishing Club (カオス フィッシング クラブ), and curatorial producer and art amplifier 吉田山. Each comes from a different cultural background, and the "kuradashi" (蔵出し, bringing items out of storage) from these three distinct personalities is something to look forward to.

"Kobutsu" (個物): Friday, November 13, 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM

Graphic designer Mikiji Nagai's activities go beyond graphic design. Drawing on a career as a collector, including "Kobutsu" (個物), which gathers, assembles, exhibits, and releases collected antiques to reconsider the value of an object's existence, Nagai works widely across fields. At this event, personal collections gathered out of individual taste, including art and folk crafts from Japan and overseas, will be brought out of storage ("蔵出し").

"てきとうにやっちゃうよ?by CFC": Saturday, November 14, 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM

Chaos Fishing Club is a streetwear label that blends skate culture, surreal graphics, and a distinctly Japanese irony. Under the spirit of "Fishing > Everything" (釣り > すべて) and the slogan "てきとうにやっちゃうよ?", the label treats fishing as a symbol of personal passion. At this event, items related to fishing and skateboarding will be brought out of storage ("蔵出し").

吉田山: Sunday, November 15, 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM

吉田山, who is also a program director of ARTE TOKYO and an art amplifier (アートアンプリファイア), redefines the ecosystem of art production, distribution, and consumption and implements alternative structures in society. At this event, products, books, and by-products from players (producers) on the front line, such as Tokyo-based artists, architects, and curators who underpin the cultural formation of the city, along with treasured items brought out of storage ("蔵出し"), will be displayed and sold.
