Kasho Sanzen Co., Ltd. (headquartered in Aoba Ward, Sendai), the confectionery maker known for the Sendai specialty Hagi no Tsuki, is releasing a limited-time collaboration lineup with the popular anime Haikyu!! featuring newly drawn artwork, on sale from Tuesday, August 11 through Tuesday, August 25, 2026.
The collaboration between Haikyu!!, which has deep ties to Sendai, and Kasho Sanzen began in 2024, and this year's release marks its third year.
Date Tech High School x Date Emaki
This year's collaboration came about after Date Tech High School's Aone Takanobu and Futakuchi Kenji were appointed Sendai Tourism Ambassadors, leading to a tie-in with Date Emaki. The package features newly drawn artwork of both characters and evokes the history of the 620,000-koku Date domain.

Date Emaki is a Sendai confection made by carefully baking egg-based dough layer by layer into a baumkuchen, then wrapping it around ogura bean paste and cream — a treat that evokes the history of the 620,000-koku Date domain. About Haikyu!!
Haikyu!! is a sports manga by Haruichi Furudate that began serialization in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump in February 2012, following high school students' passionate pursuit of volleyball.
Serialization concluded in July 2020 after eight and a half years, with cumulative circulation of the complete 45-volume comic series surpassing 75 million copies.
A TV anime adaptation has aired on the Mainichi Broadcasting System/TBS network since 2014, with four seasons produced through December 2020.
