September is when the first hints of autumn begin to appear — the perfect season to pick knitting back up. This event celebrates the charm of yarn and other handmade crafts, bringing together a wide range of yarn chosen for its colors and materials, along with warm handmade goods filled with each maker's care. Beyond shopping for a new favorite, visitors can also enjoy casual, hands-on workshops.
Whether you're returning to knitting after a while or picking it up for the first time, the event offers a chance to meet the season's urge to create.

Asante Toujours
Asante Toujours is a yarn shop that hand-dyes each skein of yarn, one at a time, in colors inspired by sweets like cakes and ice cream.
The lineup includes shades reminiscent of shortcake, chocolate mint, and lemon cake, evoking sweet moments. Alongside the standard 100g skeins, the booth will also offer mini skeins and stitch markers so visitors can easily enjoy a variety of colors.
Visitors can find a color that speaks to them, just like choosing a treat at a small patisserie.
Gypso
Gypso takes its name from baby's breath (kasumisou), a flower whose language means "happiness" and "gratitude" — reflecting the shop's wish to bring a little happiness to each encounter with its pieces.
For this Yarn Fest, Gypso gathers thread-based handcrafted works under the theme "Time Spent Spinning Happiness." Knitwear, amigurumi, embroidered accessories, embroidered pouches, and knotted macrame pieces will be on display, each carefully made by artists who bring out the charm of thread as a material.
Even though they all start from the same thread, each piece varies in technique, design, and expression, letting visitors discover a favorite piece while feeling the individuality and warmth of each artist.
ippum knit n crochet
ippum knit n crochet, a shop specializing in rare Korean yarn and knitting kits, comes to Hakata Marui.
Airy mohair, sparkling glitter yarn, textured novelty yarns, and super-bulky yarn perfect for bag-making — vivid colors and easy-to-handle materials are among the charms of Korean yarn. From the many options available, the shop has carefully selected only the yarns it truly finds "cute." The knitting kits, which pair yarn with a pattern, come with Japanese-language instructions and support, so visitors can knit designs straight from Korea just as they are.
The shop's signature product, "Monet's Light" (モネの光), is an original blended yarn inspired by paintings. By combining several strands the way paint colors are mixed, the stitches blend together one by one, and the resulting color even shifts depending on how tightly each knitter works — part of the fun of using it.
Drop-in crochet and knitting workshops, open to anyone without materials of their own, will also be held during the event.

Based in Kobe, KnitWit Japan proposes yarn and knitting kits that add a little joy to everyday life. LABOYORI is a brand exploring the appeal of thread itself, under the theme "encounters with yarn you've never seen before." Countless varieties of yarn exist — straight yarn, roving yarn, tape yarn, chenille yarn, lily yarn, slub yarn, nep yarn, and more — spanning natural to synthetic materials, each with its own rich character.
The yarns LABOYORI carries are "industrial yarns" used in professional factories — materials the general public rarely gets to handle. The brand sells them hoping people can enjoy this material more freely, offering visitors the chance to enjoy that encounter with the material itself.
LABOYORI values the limitless expression created by combining yarn thickness, twist, material, sheen, and color. The world woven from a variety of textures and colors stimulates the knitter's sensibility, quietly transforming into pieces that accompany everyday life.
This pop-up event marks the first opportunity to see and touch LABOYORI's yarn in person, after it has previously been sold online only, offering a chance to experience the texture and depth of color that can't fully come across on a screen.
MoneKan Fibers
MoneKan Fibers is a brand of hand-dyed yarn and hand-dyed buttons born from a seaside studio in Chigasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture. Both the yarn and the buttons are dyed by hand, one at a time, with an emphasis on enjoying knitting starting from the moment of choosing.
Part of the fun of knitting is the time spent imagining "I love this color" or "what should I make with this?" while browsing the colorful yarn. The shop offers a range of yarns in different materials and thicknesses so they can be enjoyed across seasons and projects.
The appeal of hand-dyed yarn is that each skein takes on its own slightly different shade and character — and that each knitter's work, made from that yarn, becomes unique in turn. Even using the same yarn, the finished result varies greatly depending on the stitch pattern and combinations used, making every completed piece one of a kind.
The brand also creates original hand-dyed buttons to pair with its yarn, dyeing each one while considering shape and color combinations so that every piece has its own distinct character.

PUPU布布 (Pupu) is a handmade brand run by a mother-and-daughter team under the theme "like a treasure from childhood."
The daughter knits small amigurumi-style accessories from lace thread, one by one, while the mother chooses traditional fabrics and natural materials — such as Kurume-gasuri, Liberty prints, and organic cotton — to sew children's clothing with careful attention to how it feels against the skin. Like a beloved doll or favorite outfit from childhood, the brand hopes to deliver "treasures" that will warm your heart when you look back on them someday. At the pop-up event, the shop will offer accessories and children's clothing as well as fabric goods that also make great gifts, giving visitors a chance to see and touch the texture of the materials and the fine handiwork up close.
twinklesil
twinklesil began when owner RIN, who had been collecting cute yarn as a hobby, wanted "more people to discover it too!" The name combines "twinkle," for sparkle, and "sil," meaning thread. The shop offers a wide range of fluffy, fuzzy, and distinctive yarn imported directly from Korea at reasonable prices. A workshop for knitting items like pass-case holders will also be held during the event, offering a chance to feel a sense of connection between people through yarn.

A Knitting Workshop by Comedian Aipa Takizawa
Yoshimoto comedian Aipa Takizawa (アイパー滝沢) will host a one-day-only knitting workshop, open to everyone. In addition, anyone who signs up for an Epos Card on the workshop day, September 19, will receive a two-shot photo with Aipa Takizawa and his autograph as a gift.
