Rhododendrons in Full Bloom at Hakone Gora Park, One of Kanagawa's Top 100 Flower Spots

Rhododendrons at Hakone Gora Park, one of Kanagawa's Top 100 Flower Spots, have come into full bloom.

As of April 15, the Akaboshi Rhododendron (red-spotted rhododendron) and Western Rhododendrons are at peak bloom, and a variety of rhododendron species can be enjoyed through just before Golden Week.

Some azaleas are also in bloom, adding splashes of color throughout the park grounds.

The azaleas around the fountain pond are expected to reach their peak around late April.

Admission

  • Adults: ¥650 (tax included)
  • Children (elementary school age and younger): Free
  • Dogs: Free

Holders of a Hakone Free Pass, Nonbiri Ticket, or Owakudani Ticket (including digital tickets) may enter free of charge. Re-entry is permitted on the same day and the following day — please present your receipt at the gate.

Note: The combined admission ticket for Hakone Gora Park and Hakone Art Museum is not eligible for the above discounts.

Opening Hours

March to November: 9:00 AM–5:00 PM (last entry at 4:30 PM)

December to February: 9:30 AM–4:30 PM (last entry at 4:00 PM)

The park is open year-round, with 3 maintenance closures per year.

Note: The park will be closed on Monday, May 11, 2026, for maintenance.
